CARNIVAL LAUNCHES SECOND ONE-DAY SALE EVENT
March 20, 2007
Following a record six-week booking period, as well as the company’s highest single-day reservations record, which was spurred by a one-day sale event, Carnival Cruise Lines will offer another one-day sale on Thursday, March 22, 2007.

During the period from February 5 through March 18, 2007, net individual reservations across Carnival’s fleet of 22 ships were up 28 per cent versus the comparable period in 2006. At the same time, Carnival Cruise Lines’ capacity increased six per cent.

Additionally, on March 1, 2007, the company conducted a one-day sale event and achieved the highest number of individual reservations in a single day, while that full week, Feb. 26 through March 4, marked the single highest one-week reservations period in Carnival Cruise Lines’ history.

Carnival’s second one-day sale event on March 22 will encompass a wide variety of 2007-2008 departures operated on the line’s 22 “Fun Ships, and will provide the best available upgrades within like-cabin categories. For example, consumers can book the minimum-priced balcony stateroom and receive a complimentary upgrade to the best available stateroom within that same cabin type.

Sample starting prices include US $249 for three-day Bahamas cruises from Miami on the Fascination and US$499 for seven-day Caribbean voyages from Miami and Port Canaveral on the Carnival Triumph and Carnival Glory, respectively.
