Opening ceremony in Seoul to launch "Korea, Sparkling" campaign
The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has launched Korea’s first official tourism brand, “Korea, Sparkling”, which was created to deliver a refreshing and uplifting image of Korea to the world.

The President of KTO, Mr. Jong-min Kim, co-hosted the brand’s launching ceremony at the company’s headquarters in central Seoul.  He said, “We are currently developing various programs to promote the brand around the world.  What motivates people to visit Korea varies according to region, country and age, making it necessary to tailor our communications accordingly.” 

Chosen from among 700 candidates, the new tourism identity was created to deliver a refreshing and uplifting image of Korea. This is the first time in history that Korea has officially adopted a national tourism brand. 

Immediately following the official launch of “Korea, Sparkling” on April 10th, KTO is rolling out a major media campaign to promote the brand overseas. In Canada and North America, advertisements will be found in major consumer and trade publications as well as on-air at CNN, Discovery and the National Geographic Channel.
