hotel, rail discounts offered On Sunday, May 27, tourists are invited to discover Montréal, city of culture, by taking part in Montreal Museums Day, when more than 30 of the city’s museums will open their doors free of charge from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offer special activities for visitors of all ages and offer a free shuttle bus service between the sites. For the 21st edition of its Montreal Museums Day, the board of Montreal Museum directors has put together an offer especially for tourists in cooperation with its new partners, Tourisme Montréal and Via Rail. Sweet Deals à la Montréal offer a reduction of 50% on the cost of a second night in a hotel room, on the weekend of May 26-27, as well as gifts and special promotions, including one pass (per person) for free admission to a Montreal museum to be used on Saturday, May 26. Moreover, during the weekend of May 26 and 27, (from Friday to Monday), travellers who choose to travel with Via Rail in the Québec-Windsor corridor will benefit from a 35% discount on the fare in Comfort Class or of 5% on the fare in First Class. These discounts are offered by Via Rail without any restriction as to the date or the number of tickets purchased.
