The  Sol y Son offices in Toronto will close and there will be no Canadian presence for that company, though they will continue to operate internationally.

Both companies are part of the tour operator arm of Cubana Airlines. 

Jose Liu, operations manager for Sol y Son is already headquartered at Varaplaya Tours in Montreal and he told us that as of March 1 Varaplaya in Montreal, will start offering flights and packages with Cubana from Toronto to Cuba.  “It is simpler,” he said “to have the one company handle everything.”

For reservations, travel agents can call 888-861-2897.  Reservations can also be done through SIREV or SABRE vacations and as of next week, said Liu, also through Galileo.

Due to data maintenance, Varaplaya tours system will be down from Saturday March 3 to 5,  returning on Tuesday March 6..

Tuesday for Santa Clara, Havana. 
Thursday for Cienfuegos / Trinidad 
Friday for Camaguey, Havana and Cayo Coco.
