| SUNWING INTRODUCES E-TICKETS |
| March 10, 2007 |
| Getting tickets will be
easier now for both travel agents and clients, now that Sunwing has
introduced e-ticketing. Available at both www.sunwing.ca and
www.flysunwing.com, e-tickets on fully-paid files can be viewed as early
as 28 days prior to departure by both agents and clients. Clients are reminded to bring hard-copies of the documentation with them to the airport—including their hotel voucher. Baggage tags will now be available at the check-in counter; while any required tourist cards will be distributed in-flight. “Ticketing has always been a challenge for any ITC operator,” says Daryl McWilliams, Sunwing’s vice-president of sales and marketing. “There were inevitable backlogs during peak ticketing times, and agents in remote areas often had to wait longer than others for their tickets. We’re glad we’re improving distribution by making tickets available to everyone in a timely manner.” All destinations will be e-ticketed, effective immediately for departures April 2 onwards, with the exception, for now, of groups and Florida documents involving purchase of local attractions tickets. |
