Spiritual Mastery At An Authentic Rajput Palace or Exotic Beach Resorts Created 5,000 years ago, the Indian art of yoga represents the pursuit of a deeply experiential, intuitive and transcendental knowledge. In honour of this ancient Indian tradition, Taj Spas introduces holistic yoga retreats from May to September 2007 at three scenic locations: Taj Exotica, Goa; Rambagh Palace, Jaipur; and Taj Green Cove Resort, Kovalam. Taj Spa yoga retreats provide an overall exposure to the basic principles and practices of yoga and its lifestyle. Guests will learn body postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), yoga theory, relaxation techniques (yoga nidra), as well as cleansing practices. Two types of retreats are offered: gentle and dynamic. The gentle retreat (divyanandam) explores basic and subtle aspects of yoga to give participants an intense experience and exposure to their own spiritual nature. The dynamic retreat (divya urja) helps guests increase the elasticity of their body, mind, and spirit. The yoga retreats are offered at various skill levels, ranging from an intensive introductory course for beginners to a progressive course for those with previous experience in yoga. Each Taj Spa yoga retreat includes airport transfers; accommodations; a specially designed wellness menu for breakfast and lunch; yoga courses; and complimentary aromatherapy treatments. Guests have the option of a four-night or seven-night program. A combination of group classes and one-on-one interaction with yoga instructors will be held, with a maximum of 15 participants per retreat. Each retreat features five yoga sessions daily between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Guests will have free time from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to enjoy lunch and the Taj Spa facilities. Rates based on double occupancy for two participants start from US $1,500. |
